The result was a bogey-free 68, which allowed me to maintain the lead heading into the final day. What made the round feel even better was how composed it felt from start to finish. Winning my first professional event is a moment I’ll carry with me forever. This tournament on the NXXT Tour wasn’t just about three rounds of golf — it was about everything that led up to them. January 31 and February 1 were my practice round days — and they were cold .Way colder than I expected. I was layered up from head to toe, heated gear and all, doing whatever I could to stay warm. Did I look like a total dork out there? Absolutely. But sometimes comfort beats aesthetics, and staying loose was the priority. These rounds were all about learning the course and getting familiar with pin locations — and some of them were wild. The greens were rolling at at least an 11 on the stimp, and there were moments where I truly couldn’t tell which direction a putt wanted to break. Up? Down? Left? Right? Sometimes all of it at once. As tricky as it was, I loved the challenge. I enjoy courses that make you think, commit, and trust your reads — even when they feel uncomfortable. These practice rounds pushed me in the best way. Cold weather aside, I’m feeling ready. I’ve seen what I need to see, learned what I needed to learn, and now I’m excited to get out there and compete on a beautiful course that’s going to demand my full attention. Travel days always mark the shift into tournament mode. Eddy and I flew into Orlando and then made the 1.5–2 hour drive over to Dunnellon to get settled ahead of the week. There’s something about that final drive after landing that makes everything feel real — bags in the back and the focus slowly narrowing. Once we arrived, it was all about preparation. We made a stop to grab the essentials we’ll need for the next day, knowing we’re heading straight into the first of two practice rounds. These small details matter more than people realize. Being prepared early makes everything feel calmer when the week ramps up. Nothing fancy about today — just travel, organization, and getting ready to go to work. The last lesson before a tournament always feels different. This one started a little rough — I showed up late after getting the times mixed up. Not ideal. But once we got rolling, the focus was exactly where it needed to be. This was my final lesson before heading to Florida for my next NXXT Tour event in Dunnellon. The goal wasn’t to overhaul anything — it was to clean things up, reinforce the right feels, and make sure I’m confident in what I’m taking into tournament week. At this point, the work is mostly done. Now it’s about trusting the preparation and committing fully when it’s time to compete. I’m also really excited to be officially signed up for DECADE Golf and start applying it more consistently. I’m expecting it to help sharpen my decision-making, improve course management, and ultimately make my game more efficient under pressure. This lesson was the final checkpoint before the road trip — a reminder to stay focused, stay patient, and believe in the process. Next stop: Florida. The last day of our Mesquite weekend felt like the perfect send-off. Even though Coyote Springs Golf Club isn’t technically in Mesquite, it was where we chose to close out our annual guys trip — and I couldn’t have asked for a better finale. It was my first time playing the course, and it completely exceeded expectations. Wide-open desert, incredible views, and a layout that makes you want to come back immediately. I played with Rich, Elliot, and Colby, and the day was filled with exactly what these trips are all about — laughs, conversation, and soaking in the experience of being somewhere new together. We didn’t quite finish the last two holes because we needed to head back early to catch our flight while it was still daylight. Since Rich isn’t as familiar with that airport, being able to see clearly for takeoff was important. Even with a shortened round, nothing about the day felt rushed or disappointing. This weekend was a reminder of how special these trips are — not just for the golf, but for the people and the memories that come with it. I’ll definitely be going back to Coyote Springs again. Played really solid yesterday for round 2 of the NXXT Tour event. I was able to do this by staying in my lane and trusting the process. Bogey-free 68 — something I haven’t seen in a while. It’s special when the things you’ve been working on start showing up. Long time coming, and I’m all in on continuing this path.

Enjoyed getting back out in tournament mode yesterday on the NXXT Tour. The course played tough with a little wind and greens rolling around a 12. Shot 1-under — solid B+ day. Left a few putts out there, but gave myself plenty of good looks that were fully in my control. Excited for round two. I thought it would be fun to share a little bit of my stats with you!

The final day of our three-day event in Mesquite always feels a little bittersweet. This year, I got to play with Nancy and Monty, longtime friends of Rich, at Oasis Golf Club – Palmer Course. This course is hands down one of my favorites in Mesquite. The elevation drops are incredible, and some of the holes are genuinely stunning. It’s the kind of course that makes you pause for a second before stepping onto the tee. The round itself was relaxed and enjoyable... great company, great views, and exactly the energy you want on the final day of a trip like this. To finish the day, I got to dress up a little and head to Katheryn’s Steakhouse inside the CasaBlanca. A fantastic steak, great service, and the perfect setting to reflect on a really special few days. This annual tournament with the guys is something I always look forward to at the beginning of the year. It’s become a tradition I truly cherish — equal parts golf, friendship, laughter, and memories. Day 3 in Mesquite might have been my favorite yet. We played Conestoga Golf Club with Anthony and Tom — two of my absolute favorites to share a round with. These are the kinds of rounds that remind you how fun golf can be. Endless laughs, inside jokes, and moments you’re still laughing about three holes later. Naturally, we had to try and drive a par 4. Anthony even pulled out a 12-degree driver to hit this 260 yard par 4. Bold move. Still didn’t save him though — I managed to outdrive him anyway. We both walked away with two putts for eagle… and somehow neither dropped. Painful. But hilarious. Technically I still outdrove him right?? After golf, we stuck to tradition and went back to Rain Thai Sushi — because some places are just non-negotiable. It’s one of those spots we end up at every trip… sometimes more than once. We finished the night at Casa Blanca Casino, catching live music and soaking in the energy before calling it a night. Day 3 was a perfect reminder that golf isn’t always about scorecards.
