January 31 and February 1 were my practice round days — and they were cold.Way colder than I expected.

I was layered up from head to toe, heated gear and all, doing whatever I could to stay warm. Did I look like a total dork out there? Absolutely. But sometimes comfort beats aesthetics, and staying loose was the priority.

These rounds were all about learning the course and getting familiar with pin locations — and some of them were wild. The greens were rolling at at least an 11 on the stimp, and there were moments where I truly couldn’t tell which direction a putt wanted to break. Up? Down? Left? Right? Sometimes all of it at once.

As tricky as it was, I loved the challenge. I enjoy courses that make you think, commit, and trust your reads — even when they feel uncomfortable. These practice rounds pushed me in the best way.

Cold weather aside, I’m feeling ready. I’ve seen what I need to see, learned what I needed to learn, and now I’m excited to get out there and compete on a beautiful course that’s going to demand my full attention.

Practice rounds — complete.Tournament week — here we go.
