Traveling to Wichita, KS⛳️
It’s kind of crazy to think that this is the last WAPT event of the year.
I’ve worked my butt off this year. More than anything, I’ve focused on making sure I kept moving forward and didn’t take any steps backward. If you had asked me at the end of last year if I would be feeling the way I do right now, I probably would have told you that you were crazy.
Sometimes I think about this path I’m on and wonder what could come from it. Maybe something really wonderful is waiting around the corner. Maybe some of the things I’ve been working toward will finally start to fall into place.
But honestly, as much as I want to see where golf takes me, I think the bigger question is:
Who am I going to become because of this journey?
Because one day, this part of my career will end. Maybe I’ll be playing golf professionally for the rest of my life, or maybe one day golf will look completely different for me. Either way, golf is something I plan to have in my life forever.
And when I look back on all of this someday, I hope I can say that this journey made me a better person. A better golfer, friend, daughter, partner, and human. I hope all of the hard days, sacrifices, uncertainty, failures, and little victories shaped me into someone I’m proud to be.
To everyone who has contributed to this journey in some way... thank you. Whether you’ve supported me financially, encouraged me, followed along, shared a post, sent me a message, or simply believed in me when I needed it most, you have no idea how much it means.
You guys have definitely helped light a fire under my tooshy and continue to propel me into whatever the next adventure is. 😂
I’m also sharing a little travel video just for fun! I originally shared it on TikTok, and I’ve really enjoyed creating more of these little pieces of my life outside of just golf. If you want to see more, follow along on TikTok and Instagram @gabbygolfs_
The second video is from my practice round, where I’m talking a little more about the course and what I’m seeing heading into the tournament.
And be on the lookout for the next email. I’m excited to dive a little deeper into how I’m feeling, what this year has meant to me, and what I’m taking with me into whatever comes next.
Thank you for being along for the ride. 🤍
