Tournament weeks are built long before the first tee shot.
This video shows our travel day to Copper Rock Golf Course and the practice rounds my caddie and I played ahead of the Copper Rock Epson Tour Qualifier, taking place May 14–16.
Practice rounds are where the foundation is laid — learning sightlines, understanding where to be aggressive, and getting comfortable with the course. It’s quiet work, but it’s essential.
One of the practice rounds was played with Lauren Dickey, who was such a fun presence to be paired with. She also plays on the WAPT, so there was an easy flow to the day — good conversation, shared experiences, and mutual respect for the journey we’re both on.
I know the outcome of this tournament is already known, but this video isn’t about the finish — it’s about the preparation that came before it.
This is the part of the journey that often gets missed, and the part I love sharing most.
