This trip felt extra special.
Day 1 of 4.
For the first time, Rich and I flew together for our annual “guys” golf trip to Mesquite — a tradition I’ve been part of for five years now. Even after all those years, this one felt different in the best way.
Before heading into Mesquite, we made a quick stop at Copper Rock Golf Course, the course where I recently won the tournament that opened new doors for my season. Going back so soon after that moment was surreal. The course looked the same, but the feeling was completely different.
This time there was no pressure. No scoreboard. Just appreciation.
Same place. Different energy — relaxed, reflective, and full of gratitude for how quickly life can change when preparation meets opportunity.
Flying together, sharing the trip, and mixing a long-standing tradition with a full-circle return to Copper Rock made this one of those travel days I know I’ll remember for a long time. It reminded me that golf isn’t just about competition. It’s about the people you experience it with and the memories layered onto the same fairways over time.
Golf gives you moments like that.
And I don’t take them lightly.
